David Bowie E-Type
Discussion
Came across this short clip as I was randomly looking for E-Type videos on YT. Never knew David Bowie owned an E-Type. Thought it was strange, of the numerous E-Type history docs that his name never crops up amongst the usual owners like George Best, Charlton Heston, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tony Curtis, and even the likes of Sid James. I didn't even know that Pete Waterman owned an E-Type (a one off 4.2 version of the S3 2+) until I read about it recently.

I wonder where this car is now?.

As Jaguar always did, they said when the V12 came out that they would continue with the straight six, but they didn't. Three 2+2 cars were made with the 4.2 engine, all LHD, and the chassis numbers were EX 101,2 and 3 from memory. I've seen two of them over the years.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kVUOYKRYlPU

Bowie had a Volvo 262 coupe also which I found even more unusual than an E-Type.
It was recently sold too.

Speaking of other famous people whom have apparently owned an E-Type, but I came across an ad on eBay.com of a very early S1 roadster which was once owned by Nat King Cole. I never knew he owned an E-Type either. Can't seem to find the ad now but it was for sale for around a million dollars (starting bid that is). A little OTT IMO regardless who owned it.

I know where the e-type is, however I am not sure I am allowed to say. As far as I know it has not been sold by the estate yet.
We probably know the same person then !.I used to work for him and speak to him most weeks and still do searches for him to track down non Jaguar stuff .
