I have been clearing out my Grandfather's garage and found a few things that I simply have no idea as to what vehicle they belong to?
There are a few part numbers stamped into the manifold's casting, however I've done the obligatory Google search and I'm still non the wiser?
Can anyone shed any light as to what car it's for?
Another item I've not a clue about is this grille badge.
I'd thoroughly appreciate any advice, thank you in advance.

Well, I have no idea what the manifold actually is, but from the shape of it, it looks like it's for a pair of downdraft carbs onto a four cylinder engine, maybe something from the 1930s/1940s? I'd imagine it'd have to be something of a crossflow design from the looks of it,
The badge, the motto on it "labore agricolae floreat civitas" is, I believe, that of the National Farmer's Union from sometime around the WW2 period? That's what I've found through Google, and the design of it makes me think it's something agriculture related.

I've just checked Sunbeam Alpine inlet manifold and nothing appears to show a similarity.
It'll more than likely end up on ebay as I have no use for it, but I'd certainly like to know what it is I'd be selling...
Regarding the badge, I think you've hit the nail on the head regarding it's agricultural nature, my Grandfather had a small holding so that would probably make sense why he was drawn to it.
He had a habit of collecting old badges, of which there are two very large boards filling the garage walls with a plethora of old automotive badges. Some that spring to mind are 'The Lagonda Club' enamel badge, Frazer Nash-BMW, Albion Reiver and a rather lovely Leyland Tiger enamel badge. There's even an old Talbot Tagora badge!
