Hey guys,

Due to a relationship breakup, my lovely e30 convertible is going to have to move out of its home in a garage. I haven’t sorted anywhere for it yet, but I have the offer of leaving it out on a driveway in the short term. Its roof is not the most waterproof, and whilst it’s generally rust free, there’s a hole either side of the sill which is going to need sorting, (you can stick a finger’s width in there) which annoyingly now is not gonna be fixed in the foreseeable. So I’m super conscious of it rusting further. It has a cover, but I understand that’s not ideal, because of condensation. It won’t be driven that regularly, as it’s a semi-project and it’s staying with a family member. So how do you think it will fare? Any tips? Has anyone had to leave their classic sat out?

Thanks!

I don't think it will rust in the day or two its left there before someone steals it , so don't worry about it !

It'll probably be safer than this one in the paper yesterday.

My pair live on the drive 365 days of the year, yes they'd rot a little slower if they were inside but if you don't have a choice then you don't have a choice ;-)

hehe

Seriously though, I'd be more worried about this issue than anything else (having had a car and motorbike nicked from a driveway and a locked garage in the past!)
