Jensen Interceptor Mk2 1969, 383 auto.

Can't beat a proper 60s GT.

This RHD is for sale. As good as mint and a awesome thing to drive. It feels so light!

As a kid I fell in love with the huge rear.

17s to fill out the arches better.

That 6.3 liter is a crisp thing of beauty.

Love the Interceptor. No radio either. Did you get the wheels from Appleyards?

I have no idea. The owner offered me the wheel. Amazing car which made me think we did not make a lot of progress... Drove the new A-Class yesterday and it was a turd. Autoboxes need proper power to work.

What a gorgeous looking thing that is, the two tone paint combo really suits it.

Looks almost identical to mine ...

Mine's a 1969 MKII as well , but the 19th produced by Jensen with the 'new' Lucas rear lights .

Supersonic Velvet indeed .

Cheers , Harald

Hasn't the Interceptor aged well in the last 10 years, they look bloody good now, I could never see it decades back.

Once a month I get the current A class as hire car, it is a turd rolled in glitter, remarkable how far backward Merc have done.

I drove the new A: I could not get used to it. Unlike the RHD Jensen which fitted like a glove.

I wonder how much bigger a new A-Class is than a Jensen Interceptor

It sounds like you had a great time OP!

I've always loved the Interceptor, just wasn't brave enough back when they were fairly cheap! banghead

But I had a work colleague back in the early 80s who bought a red SP for about £3,000 IIRC! It was a bit tired, but was still a stunning car. Mind you he couldn't afford to use it every day, so he came to work in an old Renault 10. laugh
