Easy its a Mk2 Mystery Car ... more open road capabilities than the Mk1 Town Car seen with the buses ... we can now spend hours on the internet researching hub caps and the heritage of the crash barriers :-)

If you're right it could suggest rear engined?

My first thought was Fiat 850 but it's not - too big and the rear quarters are wrong.

Thanks people. Her indoors, who is brilliant at taking pix of her own fingers, had the camera and I was driving. The grille above bears no resemblance to the one I saw which had more a mesh grille, and I too thought of Fiat as I caught the car up. And I'd never heard of this one either. One learns every day.

Passed over this thread but was intrigued...

At first glance it thought Fiat Dino Coupe then realised it was an OSI - acronym for Officine Stampaggi Industriali - lovely car as, of course, is the Fiat Dino Coupe (and its companion Fiat Dino Spyder) - OSI was formed in 1960 as a subsidiary of Ghia to build a small series of niche cars.

When I read that you took the pic in Angoulême I thought it was this guy's car, I was trying to imagine both (the lady and him) a bit older as in your pic but while it could be him, it's probably not as I have his car as registered DF845RN.
He won the Concours Circuit des Remparts a few years ago...
in Angoulême!



You can find these enthusiasts of one particular model everywhere. For example, I knew one guy who ate, slept and breathed Fiat Dinos, he still does years on. I think he knows more than Fiat!

In the case of OSI, there is a guy from Portugal who takes some beating!
If you want to know about OSI he also eats, sleeps and breathes them, he's what I term 'the' OSI nut!
I'll see if I can find my link to him when I get a moment.
When I discovered it a while back I wondered at the time if there is anything this guy doesn't know about them?
