I know some think it's like that most of the time, but today most of the new listings are cars with stolen photographs for very low classified price.

I've reported a number of them, so we'll see how long they stay up. A few accounts have been hacked, it seems.

Load more on today... reported a fair few yesterday (couple of Volvo Amazons and a handful of Ford Capris) and to be fair, eBay did remove 'em sharpish.

I note with amusement that the scammers are now using original wording from ads with "please read carefully, selling on behalf of a friend..." blurb added underneath the main body of text. It appears to be their idea of 'sophistication'!

I suppose some idiots must fall for the scams or they wouldn't bother posting the ads (using hacked accounts or otherwise), but are people really stupid enough to fall for such blatant nonsense?

My eBay account was once hacked and I was apparently selling Harley Davidson's at £12,000 a pop.
Had a very dodgy looking email purporting to be from eBay telling me that my account had suspicious activity and was being suspended pending investigation. Attempted to log on and found that this was actually indeed the case. Matter was resolved in a few hours.

How was your account hacked?

Along with a number of others it was hacked at eBay's end rather than mine.

It's never ending at the moment. In the Lotus section it's the same photographs/cars again and again, it can't be that difficult for Ebay to block any listing with said photos.

Really! I find that rather disturbing . . . . . .
