Praise for a classic dealer and a parts supplier
Discussion
I very rarely buy cars from dealers but I have had a very good experience with my recent purchase of a modified and restored 1968 Step front Alfa after what might have been a horror story with another supplier perhaps.
I bought a heavily modified 68 junior from Michael at www.lussoprestige.com
Not long after purchase and toward the end of the usual warranty period on used car sales I had an engine issue. Due to bad weather and being away I didn't get the engine stripped for inspection until after any normal warranty period and unfortunately some serious damage had occurred possibly due to a dropped valve/valve seat.
Long story short without any major issues Michael stepped up and covered the cost of repairs which were not insignificant as the engine needed at least one piston/liner and a new head and I wanted a full repair of the engine of course.
So rather than the usual dealer bashing threads I'm happy to say for once I had great support through what was a gutting experience of losing an engine.
Also need to add a thanks to Classic Alfa for superb parts support and availability ( and same to Alfaholics on occasion).
Tom @ classic Alfa sourced all the bits I needed often on next day delivery.
Good guys do still exist it appears!
