1937 Austin 12 New Ascot.Crankshaft Oil thrower.

Hi All.

I need some info on the oil thrower on the back of the crankshaft on my 1937 Austin 12 New Ascot.

I am told it is a thrower built in with the crankshaft.

if that is correct then it cannot wear out but is there a plate or washer behind it to stop any oil passing by?

I think you wuill find that the membership of this forum is mostly post-war. You may well get better response here where there are number of avid pre-war addicts.
