Replace roof aerial on Mercedes W123

Morning all,

Hopefully someone can help? The roof aerial on my '84 W123 has become damaged by the cover being put on and off.

I have bought a replacement but for the life of me I can't work out how to get it off. The top section (which is damaged) turns around but there is no lateral movement.

There is the bottom section with the circle, I would have hoped there would be a screw there but there is not. Anybody got any ideas?

Would it not be just a matter of loosening that allen screw in the black collar.

As has been said, it looks like the stainless grub screw is what holds the upper part to the base.

Unusual to see a roof aerial on a W123.
