Peugeot 205 Roland Garros cabrio
Discussion
Not really in the market for a new car,i already own a Peugeot 306 a Dacia 1310 '86 (Romanian copy of a Renault 12) and a bunch of motorcycles... BUT I found a stupi cheap '92 205 Roland Garros cabriolet. Car looks nice, kd22 in the vin, wheels, paint, interior all original, the soft top leaks in heavy rain but that's just normal for a 26 old cabrio. What throws me off is the engine: it has a 1.4 injection engine. I know that Roland Garros had a 1.4 two carburator engine making 85 HP. Did they switched to fuel injection in the early '90?

I have a 1.6 306xs multipoint injection bought from scrap. The car had a minor front collision looks like crap but it drives like a champ. I checked the piston sleeves for wear and the look preety good for 300k km. So I'm not worried about the 205 engine they are pretty much indistructible like all the Peugeot engines (except for the 1.8 8 valve one) I figured the double carb is the one every one wants but for 900 euro I think it's worth buying a fuel injected one.
