Fiat 500F 595 Abarth info

Hi all,
I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has in turn asked if I could pop in and give a classic he's interested in a once over. He's out the country at the moment hence his desperation in asking me

I'm after some pointers on what to look for, especially how to tell if it is indeed a genuine abarth 595 and not a recreation. Being an inport I'm assuming there should also be an Italian equiv of MOTs, service history and mileage with it.
Steering wheel looks new to me and it also looks to not require paint or interior as they are also recent. Obviously on any Italian classic rust is a big point to look out for but anything else I should know? Price sound about right especially given time of year and any thoughts on the dealer?

If it is a genuine 595 then would there be a chassis stamp or specific identifier anywhere?

Yes it is a recreation, has your friend been told otherwise by the vendor?

Nothing wrong with a goor recreation of course, it could still be a great car.

Thanks, I'll have to ask him what he's been told. To me the ad makes no mention of recreation but then I know nothing of these cars.

It is a pastiche of a genuine Abarth. The wheels are nothing like the originals and the engine seems to be distinctly lacking in the carburetion department , an Abarth usually sported a Weber side draught on a special manifold which IIRC had the rocker cover cast integrally with it.
