50 years old and would still turn heads....
Discussion
Designed and built by the Adams Brothers, 4 were built by Marcos in their factory in Bradford-on-Avon in 1969 and called Probe 15.
One was used in the movie "Clockwork Orange."
A second was bought by songwriter Jim Webb and shipped to California.
A 3rd existed but I don't know who bought it.
The one in the pic. was owned by Jack Bruce of Cream who later gave it to a friend who shipped it to Montreal.
It had no doors - just a sliding roof.
Fitted with a modified Hillman Imp engine in the rear, it was quite fast in a straight line due to the lack of weight but was a right b@stard in the corners due to the low ride height causing the suspension wishbones to ground.
It drew huge crowds whenever it was parked in central London and I don't doubt it would still do so today, 50 years later !
