Jaguar Mk2 and other bits suppliers. Any good new-comers?

I am currently restoring a Jag Mk2 and some of the (replaced) seals and chrome bits I have taken off are pretty bad quality IMHO.

For a Mk2, the general consensus is to go to SGN Barratt.

However, I have had some really good parts supplied for Minis, MG's and kit cars from suppliers I had never previously heard of (restorations are a hobby, not a business).

I was just wondering if there are any recommendations for good start ups, or otherwise for Mk 2 parts?

David Manners seems to stock most bits for the MK2 .

It's worth searching the back pages of the various magazines, the JEC magazine, Jaguar World and Classic Jaguar, Practical Classics and the kit car magazines. It can be easier and cheaper to obtain parts by type of part instead of type of car.

There are also specialists like Ken Jenkins, Black Country Jaguar and David Kelly who have a lot of second hand and some new bits. Ken Jenkins is also an incredible expert on anything old and Jaguar.

Known more to those who have been involved with Jaguars for years, but R & J Smith are well worth a try. They are having parts remade and while sometimes dearer you won't cavil about the quality.
