Watching Grand Tour the other day, I thought to myself when watching the bit with the Testarossa "How unbelievably cool you would've been driving one in the 80s", so out of boredom, what did you drive in the 80s?

MDMA .

A pushchair in the early 80s! haha

I do recall my mum having an old Mini when I was probably 5. This was an era where the shorts were short and the vinyl seats in the car were scorching hot in the summer!! haha

I think I started out in something like this...

By the end of the '80s, i'd upgraded to one with a Briggs and Stratton 3.5HP engine in.

Ha! Beat ya! A 1973 Viva. BBP 56L

Followed by LRL 412P a red Viva after the first met a nasty end.

Then AAF 648J a green 1600E Cortina, followed by FJN 578Y a red Mk5 2.0L Cortina GLS with the Recaro seats.

Aaand then we hit Company cars - new Fiesta 1.1L, Fiesta 1.6D, Escort 1.6D, Escort 1.6 petrol...

Hillman Avenger, then a R5 gordini Turbo, followed by a 2.8 injection special and then to round the 80,s off a 944 lux.

Now own a R5 gordini turbo, 2.8 injection special and not quite a 944, but a 968. Not too bothered about getting an
avenger for the collection, but maybe an Avenger Tiger one day.
