Moving Old Cars
Discussion
I have inherited 2 X W124 mercedes and am now in a place to start restoring them (well making 1 out of the 2). However I need to ship them from North East to Oxfordshire, I've put it up on Shipley but there wasn't much a space to put more information as I'm worried that they've sat so long they'll have seized brakes etc so will be a right pig to move and cost a lot.
Anybody have any advice?
Anybody have any advice?
How long have they sat for, and how (in)complete are they?
Merc 124s are pretty tough, I'd be tempted to put a battery on and see if they'd run and drive to load on the trailer!
And where abouts in the north east are you?
I'd be happy to help.
This one had sat for about 15 years and was running within half an hour of collection

And this one had been parked up for at least 4 years.
Fresh battery on it and it drove on to the trailer!

They're fully complete all parts still attached just been sat for a good few years but did function before they were parked up. Rust has set in on one more than the other but all wheels still on.
I'll upload a photo tomorrow when I pop round
Can I drop you a PM?
Assuming you are a transporter? Rather chuck work a PH'er way
