Has anyone managed to buy a car through this website? I've enquired over 5 cars now and never get any owner response. The only contact method seems to be email via car and classics website. There seems to be loads of cars there that you never see advertised anywhere else either.
I know it's just an advertising platform but it's a pita when I just want to try and contact/ speak to a seller.

Bought one through them a couple of months back.

We're you responding to add they had just appeared on the site, or that you saw listed when you happened to go there/searched? Based on my experience it can take some months for the seller to actually get around to updating the website to say the car's actually been sold and many probably forget all about it and ignore any post-sale (either on C&C or elsewhere they may have the car listed) enquieries.

Thanks, the ads are all placed over the last 6 weeks, 1 at end June and the others late July.

Sold and purchased many cars via C&C, never had any problems.

sold and purchased from the over the years had plenty of phone calls and phoned people. When selling I always put cars up there first for a few weeks and if they don't sell put them on ebay.

Telephone number appears in all the ads I've seen.

I often wonder if contact emails end up in spam folders for many of these types of sites .

Put my Vixen up for sale a few years back and got loads of responses, mostly from complete knobheads though.

I think the adverts get bumped as well.

I have two cars where there aren't usually that many for sale and the adverts stay live for ages, they certainly don't get bumped.

I see it happen with a Maserati for sale, it was the dealer who use to have weird asking prices, the Maserati was up for something like £18333, anyway it was on there 5 or 6 months or more, the last time I see it on there it had a date on the advert of about a week old, I rang them up and they told me that car had been sold months ago and hadn't got round to telling C&C it had been sold.
