P1800 - i Know It's Restored, but How Much??/

Rarer than a Swedish built P1800 and in lovely condition.
But seriously, how on Earth do they get to a figure like this?

Lovely cars, and I still regret selling mine for £3500 back in 1996.
Can't ever see myself behind the wheel of one again, the prices they are these days.

Usually they add up what it's cost to restore – 
– and try to recover their 'investment'.I dare not add up the receipts for my TR6 over the years, and they're mainly just for parts. Burning them might be for the best.
Prices of P1800s have been rising for a while but that is ridiculous.
Still, we are all talking about it, so maybe that's the point?
Quite like the P1800 but there's always been something about them that has never 100% convinced me that I want one. They seem a bit fussy, a bit over-designed to my eye. I've always found them just slightly effeminate... I'd rather have my Amazon any day of the week!

What happens is the restorations cost just spiral out of control, these type of cars have a very limited market but still cost if done correctly the same as a OTS E etc,
We used to see it all the time, people would want a Moggy convertible restored to show quality which would cost them 30K, yet the car would never be worth more the 15 done ! go figure !
It never ceases to amaze me with the prices people value there cars at, ive probably got over 60K in my Challenger in time/hours along yet its worth half that figure in reality ,
As always its worth what the best offer is! If ones serious about actually selling????

Likewise. I've restored mine twice over 38 years, in 1987 and 2014, and am on my fourth ring binder of bills, which tomorrow will include a new battery.
