Can you re-register a vehicle back to when it was made?
Discussion
I have an old motorcycle which was manufactured in 1981, but not registered until 1983.
Does anyone know if it is possible:
1. To get the DVLA to amend the date of manufacture on the V5.
2. To get the DVLA to allocate an appropriate age related registration to replace the current one.
I expect that the DVLA fairly frequently are asked to correct the date of manufacture, as it dictates eligibility to exemption from MOT and tax.
I know I could just purchase a "W" suffix plate and allocate it to the bike, but is there a procedure whereby the DVLA will deal with both?
Thanks.
