Maserati 3500GT / Hillman Hunter Crash

Bet this was painful.
But any idea where and when ? The Hillman looks to be a Hunter, the Police officers uniforms look “ English “ and I am guessing it’s Malta in the late 60s.

Background looks like Malta, the bus looks like I remember Maltese buses looking and the registration is in the right format. I'd say you're spot on with Malta.

This is going to be one of those irritating ones. That Hunter reg` could be Guernsey ? The bus is going to Clija? that draws a blanc? anyone know where or what is Clija. The buses in Malta in those days had lots of external decorations and an "Altar" on top of the dash. I recon the bus and the truck are RHD.

that was my recollection - along with the bigger your vehicle the more right of way you have

I was in Malta on holiday in the mid 1990s and I saw a Dodge Viper.

On an island where you could barely get up to 4th gear. Max speed limit out of town is 80 km/hr.....

Plenty of classics and petrolheads on Malta.

The "Malta Classic" has been running since 2007 and is now a significant and well supported event. See their website - the "Mdina Grand Prix" will be held in October this year. Great opportunity for a bit of late summer sun and to watch some serious classics running in semi-anger.
