Sorning your moderns

Anyone else on here thinking of sorning your modern cars and just using your (free to tax) classic to pop to the Supermaket once or twice a week in April?
I drive my 1970's Spider regularly at weekends, but in the current situation I feel it's bad show to just go for a drive/blat for no reason.
I'm thinking of sorning our two modern cars, save £50 in April (and who knows how many months this will go on for) and at just using the Spider for essential local outings as per Government directions.
Yes, I'm self employed. I can still work a bit..but my income will suffer. To cut costs this is a no brainer..and I get to take the Spider out. Moderns will get flat batteries no doubt...they'll need trickle chargers, or at least locking without setting the alarms.

My RRS is up at my workshop on the ramp with its rear dangling in fresh air because it's part way through its rear brake overhaul and has the rear hubs stripped down. The workshop is about 13-14 miles from here.
Every new part is bought and ready to be replaced, however I suffered a bit of mission creep while it was jacked up and attended to some of the surface rust on the chassis around the spare wheel area.
This meant the whole job took/is taking a bit longer than I wanted and as such the lockdown has interrupted play. Another day and it would have been done.
So I'm now daily-ing my Aston even more than I usually do - current restrictions notwithstanding. It's ok and I think it being unwashed since October is helping deflect any potential virus influenced "flash git - spit" scenarios.
But if I had to choose between the two for seeing out the apocalypse I think I'd prefer to be in the auto 4x4.
