I noticed this Lotus Carlton for sale, and it took me back to what now seems like a far simpler age, when we could just enjoy driving cars for the fun of it, without all the guilt we're supposed to feel nowadays - https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1991-lotus-car...
In times like this I'm very tempted to take what remains of my so called `sensible' investments and buy something like this. It'd certainly make a visit to Tesco's for my `basic essentials' (mostly bottles of cheap wine) more enjoyable!

They are wonderful cars - why not go for it? After all this Covid-19 business is cleared up I think we all need to do the things we never got around to!
I went to a PH evening meet back in 2015 and saw a stunning LC parked next to an Alfa 1750 GTV with a Red Escort Cosworth parked next to that - pretty much a lottery garage.

I agree, and a clean LC will always fetch decent money anyway, so it's not like it is a whimsical purchase. This one has been the same person owner 21 years , looks clean, 95k wouldn't bother me either.
If I had a big enough garage, I'd be tempted to have a sneaky bid towards the end.
