I subscribe to this guys mail list and he always has some very interesting cars come in.
I tried to buy a totally original / but sat for 45 years / scruffy, primrose S.1 FHC 4.2 E from him late last year, but he wouldn’t budge from a crazy $ 69,995 !

However, the 330GTC is just gorgeous.

I still have vivid memories of seeing an identical met blue G registered 330 @ the castle traffic lights @ Woodford Green one sunny Saturday in the mid 80s. I was in one of my TR-6s and it cruised by, older well heeled dude @ the wheel.

This 330 was built in 1967 and delivered new to Rome. Said to be one of just 598 cars built, between 66 and 68, it crossed the pond in 1972 and the owner took it off of the road in 1979.
It’s odo shows just 9,000 miles and air con makes it desirable to US buyers, but $ 425,000 Firm is absolutely crazy.

Gorgeous, one of my top three Ferraris...... dust it off, recommission the brakes, changed all the fluids, new ignition, fire up and off you go....?

Maybe not!

Looks like it's missing the clutch pedal?

Years ago I was a young estate agent (sorry) and was sent to appraise a lovely country pile in Suffolk. The vendor was a charming fellow and only selling as he'd recently lost his wife.

We toured the house, me taking notes and measuring rooms, then we headed out to the immaculately maintained grounds. There was a coach house, which (being nosy and generally always curious about what cars people had hidden away) I asked to look inside. He smiled. "Do you like cars?"

Upon opening the doors I was greeted by the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Dark red, tan hide upholstery - just gorgeous.

But it wasn't a Ferrari. Story goes, he was looking for a 330GTC, just like this one, but couldn't quite stretch to it so bought the next best thing which actually turned out to be even rarer: a Gordon Keeble GT.

He offered to take me for a spin, so I had to ask to use his phone (this was before mobiles were commonplace, at least for young estate agents) to cancel my subsequent appointment because this was more important.

Always been a fan of Gordon Keebles ever since, and 330GTCs for that matter.

Yep, I'm a Gordon Keeble fan, we had chassis no 57, which was also dark red, in the family a long time ago, and I've since tried and failed to buy it back. Can't afford to do anything about it now, sadly.

That Ferrari is a hell of a thing, dunno what sensible money should be for something like that.

Was that near Bury St. Edmunds by any chance, saw my first GK just after they first came out (and it was dark red) been a lifelong fan ever since but like many others always beyond my reach.

Ipswich, but what's 33 miles to a 5.3 litre, luxury grand tourer like that? This would have been about 1989 though, so the car would have been getting on for 25 years old by then.

He will probably get his mental price or close off someone who likes the provenance…..you can probably buy a runner for near half of that

Stunning car but I really wouldn't want an automatic from that era, and although it looks pretty straight it will need loads of money spent on refurbishment before you could even contemplate driving it.

I don't know much about Ferrari prices to be fair, but $425,000 for that seems too much!

But it makes me wonder what the one I saw last June at a local classic car meet at a pub near me must be worth! It arrived with 3 bikes on roof rails (shame I didn't get a photo of it like that) then the guys in it got into their Lycra to go off on a bike ride - as you would. laugh

And earlier GK Number 48 was there, which was a real treat as I was with my mate who went to school with Mr Gordon's son (who apparently still has one).

Auto box must surely hit this cars $ value considerably, but there again, how many 330s were built as autos, surely very few.

Meanwhile we're heading into the biggest economic cluster fk since the 1930's...

Delusion abounds.

The dealers with their pumped up stock clinging to their bull market values will obviously have to learn the hard way...

Bull market went 2 years ago, most dealers know this.

Have a look at the private ads and tell me who's clinging to past prices.
