Could be worth asking in the Scotland subforum, though it's a bit quiet. Any idea where abouts/what kind of dealer?
ETA: Peter Cannon? Fords? Just found the below on a website: "Unless I've missed it, nobody has mentioned Peter Cannon ("the big noise in Ford's" as the TV Ad said).

Showroom is still there in in Glasgow Road, Rutherglen.

After PC's it became Trust Motors, People's, and now Arnold has it "

I managed to get in touch with a friend of a friend of an uncle of mine. Both are in their late 70`s and both worked for the BMC plant at Bathgate in west lothian. They are of the opinion that the dealership was known as Cannons of Coatbridge. They also thought that Cannons had a showroom on the main street in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, possibly selling hillman then Chrysler This would be around the early to mid seventies.

I worked for Cannons of Coatbridge in 1973 in sales. Great fun. Their dealership was on the main road in Coatbridge opposite Watson's. They sold Hillman cars. Peter Cannon was a dynamic person.
