Google's reverse image search is brilliant for this: https://www.google.com/search?tbs=sbi:AMhZZitREjw0...

It's a Studebaker Champion, apparently. smile

12 minutes and we have a winner.

PistonHeads strikes again.

I'm consistently amazed at the wealth of knowledge that is here on PistonHeads, not just the car knowledge, but the general knowledge on how to investigate and find things out.

Reminds me of a course I was on many many years ago and was told that "you don't need to know everything, as long as you know where go to find out"

It is isn't it!

Amazing what you can do today with the tech.
I found out something I didn't know the other day - was in the garden and there's something growing I'd not spotted before.
I called my wife and said 'shall I pull this up, looks like a weed?'
'Don't you dare!' she said, 'not until I know what it is.'
I said 'What the hell is it then?'
She says 'I've no idea, hang on.'
Out she comes with her I-pad, tells me to hold the stem steady so she can take a pic.

I'm now lost.
She takes the photo.
Five seconds later she says 'It's a Dogwood shrub.'

'How the hell do you know that?'
'PlantSnap' app.
Take a pic, tells you what it is.

Amazing!

Similarly, if you're mystified by anything that crawls or slithers across your foot when you're on holiday, take a pic and post it on the Natural History Museum Bug Forum. There an army of nerds that puts our car geekery to shame will respond in seconds as to what it is, and more importantly, if it is likely to kill you or not!

There's an app that works on wine labels, what it is & where to buy it.
Worked on a bottle of local plonk we brought back from Majorca.
Forgotten the name of the app though

Perhaps memory lapse due to having one too many at the time!
