Not an expert, but:
The vast majority seem to have been built on Austin K2s (which are the only ones that seem to have survived in preservation) but there were some built on Fordson chassis (smaller than the Austin) and the Bedford OY (bigger). I wouldn't be surprised if there were others.

Yes, Fordson 7V were indeed used, as seen here in NW Europe in late '44.The vast majority seem to have been built on Austin K2s (which are the only ones that seem to have survived in preservation) but there were some built on Fordson chassis (smaller than the Austin) and the Bedford OY (bigger). I wouldn't be surprised if there were others.
I suspect that the reason that the Austin K2 versions have been the only survivors is that these were most likely the only type used here on the home front, and thus survived here in UK. I suspect other types were used in operational theatres in Europe and elsewhere, and thus got left there and not shipped back to UK, and were converted to other uses locally post war, before ending up scrapped.
