The problems with that video are many.
I keep trying to work out the location. I travelled the other side of Loch Ness many times when we lived on Skye and my wife was on an extended stay in Raigmore while having our son. (I wrote off a car between Invermoriston and Drumnadrochit...)
I've looked at a few Integrale over the years but never bitten. Rust or wear and tear and one, just the plasticky dash put me off. I recently sold my TVR and Merc SL and am looking for a replacement. I have always hankered after an Integrale but the complexity worries me if I need to carry out repairs. I've been thinking I'd go for a car that was older (pre 1980) so easier maintenance with simple mechanics and also no cost (VED & MoT) if it sat in the garage for a while. Your video has sparked me off again thinking Integrale before I'm too old to enjoy it (I'm 67). It's have to be an early one due to cost but......

Skyedriver, can't help with the Integrale search but the section of road eluding you is alongside Loch Tarff (filmed in both directions). It is indeed on the ''quiet'' side of Loch Ness, climb out of Fort Augustus and it flattens out at the Loch before a short climb again to the highest point before descending towards Whitebridge, or Foyers if you turn off.
What may also catch you out is that this section was pretty much single track until 4 or 5 years ago.
I can tell you that none other than Dario Franchitti once told me that Integrales are great cars.

Its the parts supply issues or rather lack of them as well, as well as rust and complexity.
Some people love the search for hard to get parts though, but when you get into the later part of ones life, time spent behind the wheel is more important........IMHO. Its why Jags, MG's, Moggy Minors and such like are so popular, almost everything is available for them from many sources.
That's why I sold my Sunbeam-Lotus, time spent (wasted) on elusive part searching wasn't what I called fun as I got older.

No real fancy for a Jaguar, had 4 Midgets and a B in my younger days (1970's & 80's), thought about a Frogeye as that was my total want when I was 17 but ended up in a Midget, wondered about a Moggy but my sister had one when I was about 22(1975). I took it out for a test drive after some work and nearly had it on the roof within about 400 yards....

Again, one of the reasons I got rid of the Sunbeam-Lotus, as I had a great historic rally prep place near me for anything I couldn't tackle, but when the guy who owned it sold up when his two mechanics retired, I had the same issue, and I was a lot younger then as well, and would accept a lot more hassle doing stuff that, I'm now just too grumpy to bother with in my old age
As for works Integrale's, I was lucky enough to be part of the support team for a 2 x car Integrale team on the 1992 RAC Rally, and one half of the team was Italian, and were from ART, and 2 weeks earlier had all been employed by the works team, as the RAC Rally that year was the last event for the work's Integrale's on the WRC. One of the two cars was the car that Didier Auriol won the Monte with in '92, and was just as it had been when it was sold by Abarth a few weeks earlier, just without all the Martini and sponsor logos on it. It still had Auriol's name on the drivers seat.

Is your car on 17" wheels ? they seem to fill the arches very well.
I also have a red Integrale EVO 2, it's presently at Walkers, been there since just before lockdown waiting for a few small jobs to be done. This has whetted my appetite, I'll ring them in the morning for an update !

Hi, Yes its my integrale. Here`s another wee vid I`ve done https://youtu.be/9NU7jztRTBE talking about the mods on the car including the wheels. They are 17" wheels from NTM in Italy https://www.ntmwheels.com/en/cast-wheels/ around £1000 for the set and they were delivered in three days! They definately finish off the look of the car in my opinion.

Been living under a rock this past decade or so then Like all classic car prices, its been a gradual upward increase over the past 10-15 years.......and anything rare and motorsport related that was successful, especially so.
