Hi I’ve been trying to work out what car this could possibly be. It is my grandads old car and sadly he’s not here for me to ask him. But have found these pictures of the car sorry they are not the greatest it’s a kit car he built in the 1960s. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Agreed. Probably with Ford sidevalve mechanicals.

That’s some old hardware! What sort of car was this? Small manufacturers using Ford engines, or kit car?

According to Wiki there were 2000 built! Falcon produced grp shells like so many other companies at that time, to fit mundane chassis/engines in order to produce a sporty-looking car even if it could barely crawl up the road. In effect a kit car, but the buyer had to mate it to the chassis himself. I think only the 515 model could be bought ready-built.

Why not ? It looks very much like it to me. I was puzzling about the line of what might be considered a B pillar - maybe a soft-top frame ? But as the ads show it's pillarless, maybe the rear quarterlight rolls down into the rear wing and the original photo has it partly open.

(BTW, I do hope that's not the OP about to take a pee against his grandad's car wink )

I too was thinking it may not be a Caribbean due to the differences in front quarter light window, the b pillar, the prominent door handle and the corner bumpers.
I then did a bit of research and found this picture of a 1964 mk4 falcon Caribbean which looks a lot closer:

That’s the other photo I’ve got but sorry it’s not great quality as I took the pictures off of an old cine film.

At least it's got the chromed quarter window.
