Mad About Motors
Discussion
I've mentioned this on the North West forum, but thought I'd post here too as it's more classic relevant.
Thought I'd post this a program I taped on Granada Reports in the late 90s called Mad About Motors. In the first series Geoff (can't remember his surname, but I think he did a gardening series on Granada Reports called Muck and Jeff), no idea about the woman, can't find names of any of the presenters at the time apart from Lucy Meacock, who I think still presents the show.

Anyone know if that Low Drag is a real one?. I would've though it would've been worth alot more than that even back then.

My son was very friendly with Martin Ingram’s son at school, so I got to know Martin quite well and visited his house on many occasions in Bolton. His cars were kept at his home which was also his showroom. A very nice family. I saw him the other day by chance after about 20 years. He has stopped trading but still owns a number of cars including the e type which I believe is an original low drag.
Thanks for that. Nice to hear you know him. Not many people I know that own a collection like that, my dad knew someone years ago who owned a collection of vintage classics, plus a D-Type Jaguar and Aston Martin, but the chap's been dead for about 20 plus years.
So that low drag is a real one, I bet that the 40 grand value was a bit of a bargain back then, don't they fetch upwards of a million now?. No wonder he's kept hold of it. In that program the presenter says it was bought by a Norwegian but he couldn't get in it after over 100 grand spent on it. Does he use it often do you know?.
I will try and upload the other episodes soon. There's one where they visit a kit car company in Middleton.
