I know the subject matter of this won’t be to many people’s taste on here, and the names of many people in this film won’t be known to you, but even so, it’s a great people film about our sometimes irrational attitude to a machine.

The Hirohata Mercury is probably the most significant USA Kustom car, and was very recently one of just 3 cars (along with the McGee roadster and the Gipsy Rose lowrider) chosen to represent the USA’s love affair with the automobile, when all 3 were put on public display inside a glass box outside the White House.

This lovely film is about its history and its survival and ultimate restoration by some of the people that were involved in its creation over half a century before.

Thank you.

The car's not to my taste but I found the YouTube clip interesting - I caught it earlier.
