I have a manifold lying around in the garage that came off one of the cars my dad owned many years ago. As he's no longer around I can't ask him. No idea what car it came from, but the the ones I can think would either a Saab 900 Turbo, a 1987 Renault Espace, or maybe a Porsche 924, two of which, the Espace and Saab, were scrapped, not sure of the Porsche, but unlikely to have come from that. It does say Made in Germany.

I'm guessing it's from an Espace. Had a quick search but can't find an exact match. Anyone have any idea?.

No idea why they were taken off the car prior to being scrapped as it was never used again, just left in the loft for years until I found it, along with a rear seat from an Espace and other parts from two other previous motors.

The picture of the numbers is out of focus, but it looks like there is a Ford logo.

Yes I have just noticed that, no idea why I didnt see the Ford badge. So it's not from any of the above I mentioned. I can't think what car it from as my dad never owned a Ford, though he did have a Ford Pinto engine that used to be housed in his E-Type kit car, but I'm fairly sure it didn't come from that. Likely he visited a breakers yard and acquired the manifold separately but never fitted to any motor. He's owned Scimitar GTEs, but I've never seen anything like that on the ones he's owned. Forgot to mention that he also had a Tiger Cat that originally had a Pinto which was later replaced with a Duratec.

Anyone know if it's worth anything?. Not sure whether to throw out as I've no use for it.

You can get a brand new one off ebay for £61.95: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-FOCUS-C-MAX-MONDEO...

So I'd say you might get £15~£30 if you're lucky, but it might take a while to sell.

That's the part number of the MAP sensor, which is used on a number of different Ford models. It is not the CMAX manifold linked to above, which is similar in overall design but clearly a different part.

Pretty sure the OP's manifold is for a Mk3 Mondeo fitted with the 1.8L or 2.0L Duratec, Ford part number 1469276. Worth very little.

I realise that, it was confirmation the part was off a Ford which the OP seemed unable to determine for themself, despite the big Ford logo.

That manifold was likely removed from the Duratec before it went in the Tiger.

When I took the photo I hadn't noticed the Ford logo.

Yes it's likely off a Pinto or Duratec I would say as you suggest, but I don't recall seeing anything like that on the Duratec that was fitted to the kit car. The Pinto engine was taken to a garage to have work done, but they kept faffing about and wanting more money and so the engine was left with them and never brought back and a replacement engine (Duratec) was acquired. I don't recall seeing a manifold like that when it was housed in the kit car, but maybe it was too big to fit so never fitted.

This looks the same:

Seem to fetch alot more than 30 quid to me. I somewhat doubt my dad paid that kind of money for it, I think the engine was about 1500 quid. No idea where the manifold came from, but my guess is a scrap yard.

hi,
NJW nailed it earlier as being the inlet manifold from the Duratec, The reason it wasn't fitted to engine in the Tiger is because it wouldn't have fit under the bonnet line and most of them, like my own Tiger had side draft carbs or even throttle bodies..

It definitely wont be from the pinto engine as plastic intake manifolds were never fitted to those much older engines.

I agree about the Duratec. I do recall the Tiger barely having enough room for the engine to fit.
