This is a section of a picture of the closed BR Station at Holme
The station closed in 1959 and the picture is dated 1961
The car is the problem
It looks like a Hillman Suoer Minx with the '6 light body' According to the Minx Wiki site this style came out in 1964 BUT i though that the rear wrap around screen came out in 1964 with the Humber Sceptre
If it is a 1964 picture it seem unusual that the station sign is still there 5 years after closure as Beeching was very quick in getting rid of infrastructure so it could not be reopened!

If we discount Hillman what other models fit that shape in 1961?

If the photo is from 1961 I don't think it is a Rootes Group car - the Singer Vogue didn't look like that until a few years later.
