Jaguar XJ6 x300 4.0
Discussion
Purchased last year. It's a 'poverty spec' 1995 4.0, half leather, manual seats, fitted with 17" Gemini wheels.
The son of the original owner recently contacted me after seeing it on Facebook, which was pretty cool and he gave me some interesting background information.
I had to have the gearbox replaced after I killed the original. It's a nice waft to be honest, and has a bit more presence than my old S type.

I've had my X300 for almost 25 years now, although its current SORN. Mine is a 3.2 XJ Sport model. I've always loved the ride, a great waft mobile but which actually handles surprisingly well, In single direction corners it hangs on far longer than the Celica GT4 I had before it.
The 3.2 gets a simpler gearbox rather than the electronically controlled one in the 4L model. It proved to be remarkably reliable during the first 15 to 20 years of life when it was my main car. I had it out the garage the other weekend and was thinking that I really must get her back on the road as I really miss driving her and every time I see and X300 or 308 on the road they remind me of how good the car looks.
