Rear hinged door that isn't fully closed I think.

I wonder if it's some sort of special / kit / bitsa? The fold down windscreen and outside hinges don't seem right with a bulbous A35/Somerset style body.

Never mind the door (which may not have been closed properly), the fit of the bonnet makes me think this is something home made or rebodied.

So has this car, by the looks of the handle at the trailing edge. It has the appearance of a Paramount, with 4 seats, but the fold-down screen is a mystery. Plus that odd-fitting door, almost as if someone was experimenting with a parallelogram opening mechanism, with the door opening at front and back , and then sliding back.

Does the OP have any info about the photo?

I assumed that was the hinge.

^ This.

If you click on the photo to open it, the Thumbsnap logo doesn't cover it, the bottom hinge is visible as well

The hinges do point to suicide doors. The fact that the hinges look like they came from a hardware shop, and the screen is similarly amateur, all point to a self-build car. maybe based on an unused Paramount shell? They went through several ownerships and always had trouble selling cars.

I suspect that it's a post-war built special/lashup based on a pre-war chassis, as that windscreen seems anachronistic compared to the rest of the visible styling.

Are we sure it is a real, drivable car? Looks like there is one of those things you stick your face in for a picture in the background, maybe a speak your weight machine next to it?

This could be at a seaside setting, maybe on a pier, perhaps it was just a mock-up to have your picture taken in or kids to play in?

One screen wiper, on the passenger side is a bit odd.

That's not a wiper motor. It's Mavis's box brownie smile
