I was out in the Jaaaag yesterday, wafting along the country lanes at the the back of Finchingfield, Essex, when a car transporter came towards me laden with (x6? x8?) 1980's Fords; all appeared to be in excellent condition.

In the brief moment that it squeezed past me, I saw an Escort MK3, Cortina Mk3 and a Consul Estate finished in metallic brown; all British registered.
