Gordon Keeble, stunning car...

My all time favourite and in my opinion this is THE best GK, around i.e. lots of subtle upgrades.

Came here to agree with you, as one of these would be on my lottery list. But I actually let out a groan when I saw it was an auto, as I don't believe any were in period. Shame.https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1343692

ETA: just noticed the non-standard all-veneer dash and Cortina / Capri stalks as well...

I was going to make exactly the same two points. ETA: just noticed the non-standard all-veneer dash and Cortina / Capri stalks as well...

The dash is truly awful and doesn't even look that well fitted. I'm not sure if any were autos originally but I'd prefer a manual too.
Still they are lovely cars and these things can be rectified.

350 in place of the 327 is a retrograde move - minus points. If you're going to junk the original Corvette engine at least put a 383 in it.
TH350 - just why! And if a 2-pedal setup was a need because of maybe a medical issue, then you'd put a 200-4R in, not a TH350 and get the benefit from an overdrive....!!
I really don't like classics being painted non-original colours either, so another minus from me.
And that dash etc, as others have said

I'd rather have a nicely fettled original car myself.

Yep, hardly the 'best' GK around in my view either, with the 'customisation'. The owner that commissioned it wasn't an American by any chance

I'm fortunate enough to own Ch76 which had a lot of the same upgrades, all down to personal preference I guess, but I confess to having reversed most of them. Great colour combo though

With Aluminium heads, hydraulic roller cam, double pumper carb etc etc. And a Muncie M21 close ratio gearbox. And you really need the Harvey Bailey anti-roll bars, modified upper wishbones to add some caster to go with the rack and pinion steering, Koni shocks....
I'm not a fan of the boudoir / floating gin palace interior either! I left everything standard except for Interceptor series III seats:
Nice to know asking prices are staying firm, though!
I always loved them ever since I saw one in my 1966 Observers Book of Cars!
But then a couple of years ago I saw Number 48 that looked in fine fettle.

Had quite a chat with the owner and his OH as it turns out my mate went to school with the son of one of the founders (Mr Gordon I think) who still has one.

I used to see that one at Goodwood now and then when I lived down there. I always thought it had a great colour combo, and the owner was spot on to talk to.

Can we see? Pleeeeeeeeease?
V10Mike, I'll need to chat about those Harvey Bailey anti-roll bars at some time. Up until now I've resisted the temptation on the grounds that the body roll acts as a useful restraint but I think I'll treat myself in 2022.
