car seat id anyone?

about a year ago or something I posted a picture of charing cross in glasgow in the 70s and asked you guys to identify the car in the photo, which turned out to be a vw variant estate, which got answered in about ten minutes. outstanding. but here's your latest challenge.

my mate has this old car seat in the shed at his allotment (in riddrie in glasgow's east end) and ive always wondered what car it was from. i realize im posting this in the middle of the night so im not expecting an immediate response but if i can wake up to you guys having identified what car it's from i will be well more than impressed.
