Hello! I have a couple of questions for the Collective.
What's this car that I spied on a walk this evening? Why does it have the 'H' on the back?

I know nothing aboutanything pre- war cars. So, I'll guess MG and the 'H' is a class for racing?
Am I right? Or, am I right?
Thanks.
Looks like an Austin Seven special to me. It appears to be on Italian plates, no idea what the H means. What's this car that I spied on a walk this evening? Why does it have the 'H' on the back?

It's RX 8623 (chassis no. C0253), which was one of the Earl of March's 1931 Team Cars. This car came 4th in the 1931 Double Twelve (Parker/Cox) and won the 1931 Irish Grand Prix and the 1931 Ards TT, driven by Norman Black.

Now about the H?!
OK. As the OP I shall endeavour to find out the answer to the 'H' conundrum.
The car resides in a quiet lane near my village. I'm not quite so sad as to go and knock on the owner's door. However, if I see him or her out and about when I pass I shall ask and report back.
This could take a day, a week, a month or a year. But, I shall do it.
