At first I thought Jowett Javelin, but the 2 piece rear screen is wrong.
It’s RHD
Chrysler Wimbledon ?

The plate is an Essex issue.

The rear window says Austin 12 to me, but I'm by no means certain

Not Austin 12. The rear windows on an Austin are deeper.

Eta: I think!

Very similar to that Austin 12, but the boot is flush in the one I’ve found.
However, the upper door hinge looks identical ?

The mystery car (which doesn't look to be a special based on a S...... A..... ), appears to have rear suicide-doors, which Flying 12s didn't have AFAIK.

You may have a point - it looks far too big to be a "12".

Yep, fuel filler tube matches as well, which most of the other suggestions don't.

And the 20 has suicide rear doors, the 12 doesn't.

This one definitely has suicide rear doors, next time I’m passing, il knock @ the house and see if I can find out more info on it.

Yes, Flying 20 looks probable; the rear lights match (20 = round, 12 = 'D' shape), bumpers match etc.etc..
