Old cars....bloody nuisance!

I remembered today the old car old adage that 9/10 carburettor problems are electrical.

I'll move my focus to the ignition....

I had a float chamber leak last week so replaced both needle valves. This week, a fuel pump banjo (in the boot) leaked - I can't win...

Electrics? The reversing light, fuel gauge, main beam warning light and panel lights have never all worked together, I think they take it in turns to piss me off.

And the corollary - that 90% of electrical problems are fuel-related.
Or : if it ain't sparks then it's fuel, unless it ain't fuel in which case it'll be sparks.
