It's that time of year again.

Last year (first with the Trabant) I did a quick Google and went with the first broker I found. Simply to get the car registered and on the road.

Anyway, any recommendations for a broker/company?

I had her insured for 3000 miles a year and agreed value of £3000. I reckon the mileage was a bit low, 5k would be more realistic I think.

My Mercedes SL is insured on a Classic car agreed value policy with LV=. The renewal premium has stayed the same for the last three years.
All the usual stuff, six photos, brief history, and MY valuation, they agreed without comment.

I'm very pleased with the service I've received from Hagerty for a few years now.

I've been using LV classic (ltd mileage, agreed value) for years; previously used Hagerty, until they would no longer cover one of them.

Just had a look and the LV website says the car has to be 35 years old...:

That’s odd? When I insured our daily drivers with them they offered me 15% discount on a classic car policy. The fact that my Merc’ SL is 24 years old did not stop me getting a policy.

Yes, strange. One of mine is >35 years old, one isn't. The introductory speel on a google search showed "LV= Classic Car Insurance is for cars over 20 years old. Includes agreed value cover and 15% discount for existing customers. Get a quote today", but on opening the link the website does show 35 years. I wonder if they've just changed it.

Another vote for Hagerty. I've had an agreed value policy with them for 10 years. Whenever I've dealt with them over the phone they've be helpful and knowledgable.

Edit to add, they have a pretty reliable valuation guide.
