Has anyone heard of "BENVIS" ?
Was it a make of car, type of fuel, garage ?
Many thanks.

Benvis is a rather good Elvis impersonator, the voice, not the clothes or the quiff!

I don't know the answer but I see you took the image for the one for sale on ebay. (Currently £371 with over 8 days left.)

For some reason old petrol cans seem to be really collectable and valuable.

I wonder if it's of Scottish origin: Ben Nevis = Benvis.

Just a thought...

That's a poss.
As the name BENVIS appears not to be motoring related i wonder if it was a building co like the WIMPY cans.

Especially if they have fuel in them.

Doh, and you even have the same user name!

So, (and i am guessing here) you are selling something and are now wondering why this one has got so much interest / bids?

I've had the same when selling some old vinyl records, to me they were not good tunes, but for others they obviously were as went for far more than I thought.
