Can anyone identify this car from an old photo, I’m led to believe it’s late 1940’s into 1950’s.
Thanks

Thanks this pointed me in the right direction
Looking at Morris 10 the bonne5 has a chrome flash down the side but the Morris 8 series E looks spot on.
Unless someone has a better idea?

The Series E had faired-in headlights rather like a VW Beetle. This car is bigger.

Yes.
On close inspection the lights are lower and the 10 lights are placed higher.
It’s all in the detail

Think this is a Morris 10 (or is it a 12)?

Is the OPs car not a Morris 8? Think my Dad had one as his first car.

Looks similar to my dad’s old Ford Prefect, which he got (probably second-hand) in the late 1950s as his first car.

It's NOT a Ford. The Series E had a waterfall grille and headlamps behind curved glass, although more traditional lamps were available, but were positioned in a different place to the mystery car. Here's a Morris 10 which was mirrored in the Wolseley version.

Agree with this but it’s missing the chrome flash on the bonnet.
Thanks everybody it’s helped to date the photo
