Dunlop Sport Classic tyres - are they better than the rest?

I'm looking to replace the tyres on my 15-inch wire wheels, and need 185/R15 tyres. I've read the Autobild reviews (https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/apollononproducts/CMSOriginal/3985/abkl19_08128_reifentest_en_web_ds.pdf) and the winner was Dunlop Sport Classic (at around UK£225 each). I currently have Vredestein Classics (c £175each) and have been recommended to buy Pirelli Cinturatos (at a mighty £295 each). Has anyone here got the Dunlop Sport Classics and can you recommend them? Also, can you post a photo of them on a wire wheel (as I'd like to keep the "classic" look)?

I've used 185/15 for over thirty years have fitted about the lot. I had XWX for ages, and I mean ages because they lasted for ever but made the steering very heavy and were lousy in the wet. In the day I always had the Dunlops, and they are good tyres except for one thing. They wear out very quickly. Sticky rubber is fine, but I never got much more than 20,000 a set. Pirellis fell in the middle of this band and I suppose are a good compromise, as were the Avons, but for the last two sets I have used Blockleys. These were fitted after the XWX and one mile after I left the tyre fitters I doubled back because the steering was so light and I was sure they had overinflated the tyres. Not so it turned out, it was just the change of make. Blockleys "sing" a bit up to about 35 mph when road noise takes over. No, not noise from the tyres, just engine and wind roar. I have used them, as all my tyres, on track days and hill climbs, (and if you go to the extreme they let go progressively unlike some radials which snap) and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever Wear is about average. Best of all is that they are a lot cheaper and are tubeless, though with wires I don't take the chance and fitted tubes just in case. Belt and braces. Hope this helps.
