There was a thread running a while ago regarding Webasto Roofs and after much searching I found a chap in the NW who refurbishes them. He retrimmed mine in mohair, complete with new headlining and matching sun visors. All for a reasonable price (under £1,000) and that included removing the old one from the car. It would have been considerably cheaper had I removed the old one myself as he mainly does them removed from the car, but as I am reasonably local, I left the car with him for a couple of weeks.
If any one is interested, please pm me and I will be happy to pass on details. As a matter of interest, John owns 3 TVR’s so that’s a recommendation on its own!

Don't require one at the moment but may one day. Can he source the whole unit and rebuild?

Not sure about the handle and latch but certainly everything else. If he can’t source something he will improvise.

That’s a lovely job he has done. I read somewhere the German company involved with or owning Webasto were stopping production. My New Defender arriving this week has been ordered with a full length canvas roof.

That looks more like a Britax weathershield sunroof rather than a Webasto/Golde one.

Yes, I think "Webasto" has gone a bit "Hoover" in usage - I refer to the one in my Firenza as a Webasto but in reality it's more likely to be a Britax. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Webasto has a wooden frame and the Britax a metal one, but I'm not sure if that's a good distinction.

OP, I've sent you a PM as I'm also in the north west and mine needs the interior trim replacing.

Have already stopped.
Webasto ceased production of all of their aftermarket sunroof types back in 2020.

Sounds about right, the one I had in my old Sunbeam-Lotus was also a Britax metal one.
