Some of these should bring back some memories. In my family we had a Mk3 Escort 4 door, Mk3 XR3 and Mk2 XR2

Only looked at the headline picture, but can't be an ultimate fast ford collection without an EsCos for me! I'm assuming it was a bit new for this collection perhaps.

Out of all those I would pick the XR2, or the other Fiesta, which looks like a base model 1.1!

This, aside from the Sierra Cos i'd struggle to call any of them Fast Fords. I wouldn't go so far as to say they're polishing a turd as the cars do look tidy and some of them are rare in their own right, but when I think of 'dream' Fast Fords these ain't them.

Saw an immaculate red one on the way down to Wembley Sunday morning.

It must have been only doing 55 max.

Had a HGV bearing down on it as I passed and it looked tiny.

Think I may have pushed it to 65 mph to avoid mixing it with HGVs.

Perhaps the author in the link could have not used the word ultimate. A collection of Fast Fords woudl have been find and they were fast in their day, Chris Harris refers to some of them as fast Ford in his video.
