A lot not sold and some really cheap cars. I think the bubble has burst.

i had an eye on the Renault 18. The paintwork on the bonnet was knackered (home job I thought), but it was otherwise nice. It went for way over reserve. frown

The old barn find collection did really well something like £330,000 ( but each one sold individually).

Bmw 840 csi made £27k
Nova Gte made around £9k

Yesterday a rough horrible hearing aid beige Austin ambassador with no mot made £1400 which seems mental.

It was a 1983 car so it's probably soon exempt. It even looked rough in the photos. And I say that because quite often cars can look good in photos but not so good close up. frown

Indeed, plenty of provisionals and unsold. It seemed more than usual and I watch nearly all of them but I can't back that up with data.

I hope so. Now interest rates are going up, there's less inclination to have classic cars and bikes as just another item in your investment portfolio.

Bluddy 'ell pleased I didn't know that was on, I'd be bankrupt.
The "Frogeye", the red Elan both look well below what I'd expect as so one of the Stags. Just getting interested in Masser Biturbos, that red one seems well priced.

If you go back to the sale catalogue which lists the prices reached you will find that a lot of the provisionals were actually sold, so an agreement must have been reached with the vendor. Yes, there are still several unsold lots.

The red Elan +2 paintwork was shagged. Bubbles in it and lifting in areas too, needed a complete respray IMHO. Not cheap on glassfibre....

I thought that was really cheap on the basis it was a highly coveted ‘Y Reg’ which is the one to have in Austin Ambassador circles.

I always like to see BL products that are roadworthy and preserved. Less keen on the Allegro and Maxi as I think these models were the real downfall of BL.
