This cropped up on Facebook, I am thinking Herald centre section but not sure.

Someone did post that is was an Aston Martin

Yep, it's a Herald based Equipe. A surprisingly pleasant little car, for what it was... Sadly, despite the abundance of Bond's new "super" material, fibre glass, most of the bits that rusted on a Herald were still used... and, therefore, rusted... on the Equipe. It used the standard Herald flloor and bulkhead section on a mostly unmodified chassis, but with Spitfire bits and nice upmarket seats, dash' and steering wheel, etc.

I rescued a rotten one from a field, replaced the bulkhead and doors and converted it into a targa top custom, back in the 1980s.

Don’t forget that Bond went on to produce the 2 Litre version. It could have been a pretty car if they had put some grown-up sized wheels on it …

Also the three wheeler Bond 875. Even with its de-tuned Imp engine it was a bit of a road burner. It would out-accelerate an MG Midget. John Surtees took one to Brands and lapped in 1’22 - allegedly maxing out at 100mph…

Yes, if it's sat there for long the original Triumph parts may be a pile of rust, but the front, back and roof are GRP. Could be restorable, or a transplant!

Yes, it's a Bond Equipe GT4S, albeit with monster wheelarches and additional bonnet scoop and louvres. The top of the windscreen frame should have a lip on it, too.
Thanks for all the disparaging comments about the styling. Some of us appreciate its 1960s ice-cream van styling. And no, not because we lack taste and discernment...
