Import 1970 vitesse from Spain

Hi
Hope someone can help
I have a 1970 vitesse that was purchased and rebuilt in Spain with Spanish plates but is a rhd and obv originally reg in Uk
In order to get insured so can road test in Spain and then import I need to get registered on original Uk plates ?
The forms and requirements are a little like Russian soduku to me ………

Do you know the original registration number? I think that would help you regain that when you re-register the car.
You could even look it up at https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax

And have you found this page: https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-into-the-uk/... ?

I would suggest that you join the Triumph Sports Six Club https://www.tssc.org.uk/tssc/index.asp and ask their advice.
I would be no hep as I've never done this.

If the car is in Spain, and classified as exported by DVLA, you won't be able to get it re-registered with UK plates until its imported back into the UK.

Yes.

Make sure you have all the Spanish registration documentation as well including sale invoice etc.

First of all you'll need to get a NOVA certificate

Then can apply for a UK registration.
