Tyres for Classic 175/70/13
Discussion
Hi, am after some 175/70/13 tyres for my Alfasud to fit some Revolution wheels I have for it. Falken no longer do the very good tyre they had at that size, but I can get Yokohama es32 or Fulda Eco at the mid price range. Has anyone any experience of either of those or any other recommendations? The car is otherwise standard so I'm not after semi slick road legal tyres, just a good tyre for mostly dry summer use.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Uniroyal do a Rainsport in 175/70x13 which isn't one of these eco tyres that are not great for these 70's cars.
The other option, which a lot of the AVO Escort RS/Mex owners and Dolly Sprint owners etc opt for is this 175/70x13 tyre that Blockley do, more expensive than the cheapo eco tyres, but more appropriate for a 70's classic in terms of compound and construction and the way the car will drive.
I'd go for the Uniroyal or the Blockley.

Thanks for the replies, some good info there. I have found I can also get some Hankook Kinergys at that size and they seem very well thought of. Also found this from Auto Bild, a test comparing 'classic' tyres with regular, the Hankook came out on top and at a similar size. They have got a few other classic car tyre tests if you search. https://www.tyrepress.com/2021/03/classic-car-tyre...
If you're feeling flush, Longstone Tyres do the Pirelli CN36 in that size but are not cheap.

I'm also struggling to find decent 13" tyres in HR speed rating or above for my car in my preferred size of 205 /60X13 at a sensible price.

Those Hankooks work well on my Riley, they're well worth considering.2172cc said:

It's a problem, they don't do much in these old sizes. Falken do anything your size? have been very impressed with them.https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/175-70vr13-pirell...
