The reg` is WL 3205. Any of you classic buffs give me the make, model and year.

Its my In-laws, the photo had a hole in it, that`s the "repair" above the n/side wing.

Am I the only one, on a forum full of petrol heads, to think it slightly bizarre that we've been asked to identify an Austin 7 ..........?

No, I was thinking the same. I wondered if it was some sort of trick question.

I often ask this. But, as they used to say on one gameshow or another, they're only easy if you know the answers. The number of people with decent knowledge of pre-war cars on PH is quite small and does not include me among them, even though I knew this was an Austin 7. I'm a little more surprised by the lack of knowledge of, say, 1970s or 1980s cars, but I suppose if you weren't born then, why would you know?

PH - learning matters.

Not really, if you needed someone to identify and Austin 7 (or any other unknown car) a forum full of petrol heads would be the EXACT place you'd want to ask that question.

I didn't know what it was and I expect if this was posted in General Gassing there would be quite a few that don't!

Fair enough, I hear what you say - I just thought that any petrol head would instantly recognise something as iconic as an Austin 7!
Probably something to do with my age!...

I started this topic to show my wife, whose parents are in the photo, how quick PH ID’s the car.
OK Google lens would have told me just as quick.

As for me, I’m useless on pre war cars, not so good 40’s? and 50’s.
60’s onwards I’m quite knowledgeable.
